Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year: late fall and early spring. During these times, parents meet with their child’s teacher in person or using technology can  discuss their child’s progress/development on the following standards:  

• Reading
• Writing
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social studies
• Health
• Art
• Music
• Physical education  
• Additionally, attendance, work habits and social learning are also addressed

Report Cards: The school year is divided into three terms (trimesters)  and every K-5  student will receive a report card after the end of each term. The report card provides information about attendance, the student’s progress in the academic topics studied, as well as work habits.

Students will be assessed using a standards based number system -

1 - Beginning to meet the standard

2 - Approaching the standard

3 - Meets the standard

4 - Exceeds the standard

Students who have individual educational plans also receive progress reports regarding special education goals each trimester.  

If you have questions  about your child’s progress, please contact your child’s  teacher at any time. Your involvement in your child’s education sends a strong message to your child that school is important and valued by you.
