Peaks students are incredibly fortunate  to have such a wonderful island environment that is accessed  for walking field work and field trips throughout the year. Our teachers frequently use our island as a classroom and provide learning opportunities which also teach stewardship for our unique island environment.

• Trips off island also are arranged throughout the school year. These outings and excursions help extend learning opportunities, enrich students’ understanding of curriculum topics and gain experiences in a larger community.  
• A signed general field trip permission slip covers walking  trips on our island. However, field trips involving boat and/or bus transportation require individual permission slips.
• Information about upcoming field trips is sent home prior to the trip and will include details such as trip description and possible opportunities for volunteers.
